1.Tomb of Murshid Quli Khan:
The oldest tomb in Murshidabad is that of Murshid Quli Khan.
Moreover, the Katra Mosque is one of the major antiquities of Murshidabad. Murshid Quli Khan was the founder of this huge shrine built in imitation of the mosque of Mecca. His body is buried here. He had plans to set up a Katara trade center at this place.
But even though the mosque cemetery was built, the trade center was not built.Realizing that his physical condition was deteriorating, Murshid Quli Khan ordered the construction of the Katra Mosque site within a year.Accordingly, his faithful servant, Morad Faras, completed a great task in 1717 AD. There is no such big mosque in West Bengal except Adina Mosque in Malda district. The mosque is located at the western end of a spacious courtyard measuring 51 meters in length and width equal to 1 storey.Murshid Quli Khan's tomb is preserved in a small room just below this staircase.

Three of them are broken. The two-storied domed roofs around the courtyard were built for a number of travelers.Going a little along the right side of the mosque premises, one can see the tomb of Murshid Quli Khan surrounded by an iron railing in a small room at the bottom of the stairs.believe that the tomb of Murshid Quli Khan, an unhealthy weather product, needs to be renovated. Katra Mosque is preserved by the Archaeological Department. Thousands of visitors come here every year.

2. Tomb of Nowsher Begum, wife of Murshid Quli Khan:
The tomb of Nawab Murshid Quli Khan's wife Nowsher Banu Begum is covered in a pile of rubbish due to extreme negligence.
Murshid Quli Khan's palace was a little to the north of the three large arches north of Chawkbazar built by Nawab Sujauddin. Which is now the palace of Murshid Quli Khan on the side of the road on the east side.It was there that his wife Nowsher Banu Begum built a mosque in 1831. At the entrance of this mosque, as soon as you go up the stairs, you will find a walled mosque.
There is a tomb of Bengali Nawab Murshid Quli Khan Begum in a room under the stairs at the entrance of the mosque premises. The Samadhi Bhavan was built around the Samadhi. Now there is nothing but some part of his ruined wall.
Entering the Samadhi Bhaban on the right side of the entrance to the mosque, looking to the left, you will see a dark room just below the attic of the staircase leading to the mosque premises, and a door just in front of the entrance to the room.
Most of the door is covered with bricks, wood, stone and rubbish. Sunlight does not enter the part that is free. As far as you can see through the empty part of the door, the inside is full of garbage.
No one will have the good fortune or courage to visit the tomb. The question arises as to why the tomb of Bengali Nawab Murshid Quli Khan Begum is in this condition. Why is there so much neglect where the magnificent renovation of Nawab palace at a distance of 100 meters is being done every year. Thousands of visitors come here every day but they do not know that the tomb of Nowshera Begum, the wife of Murshid Quli Khan, is slowly disappearing from the history of the Nawabi period.
